Diamond Sutra Art Print 1242 pixels X 1245 pixels, 377 KB -“Gate gate Paragate, Parasamgate, Bodhisattva!”, AKA, reach the other Other Shore to Enlightenment!: An empty ornate canoe like vessel on a tranquil glittering lake reflects a large round bright golden shimmering full moon orb on a beautiful enchanted night filled with stars in a fantasy enriched environment of puffy pastel pink overhanging trees and a gentle rocky shore the vessel has been cast aside by.  This is the final line spoken as a Buddhist mantra that is found at the end of the Heart Sutra, often cited as the best-known Buddhist scripture and included in the Prajnaparamita (“Perfection of Wisdom”) section of the Mahayana Buddhist canon.  The Heart Sūtra is a popular sutra in Mahāyāna Buddhism and in Sanskrit, the title Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya translates as “The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom”. The Sutra’s main theme centers around the dharma truth that  “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.” It is a condensed exposition on the Buddhist Mahayana teaching which says that ultimately, all phenomena are Śūnyatā or empty.  As a popular companion teaching to the Diamond Sutra, the concept of sunyata is founded on the inherent emptiness of all phenomena that is due to the the principle of dependent origination which gives rise to all things and hence resulting in forms lacking any inherent permanence.  Upon realizing the truth of emptiness, one must then cast aside the vessel (intellect, mind, concepts) that discerns this understanding to remain in the no-birth, non-ego, non-clinging state of liberation and enlightenment.
